TELOS Non-Polar Silica-based SPE Products
Introduction
TELOS® Silica-based SPE columns from Kinesis are designed for the extraction and isolation of analytes from a range of aqueous and non-aqueous matrices. The comprehensive range includes SPE sorbents from each retention mechanism; including Non-polar, Ion Exchange, Polar and Mixed-mode SPE sorbents. Packed with sorbent masses from 50mg to 2g and reservoir volumes from 1 to 15ml as standard, the appropriate TELOS Silica-based SPE column can be selected based on sample volume and sample load requirements. TELOS SPE Columns are compatible with manual and automated sample processing, meeting the needs of all levels of throughput.
TELOS Non-polar (Reversed Phase) SPE Sorbents Reversed Phase (Non-polar) SPE remains the most widely used SPE chemistry in today’s analytical laboratories, due to its applicability to a wide range of compounds and sample matrices. Provided the analytes have sufficient non-polar (hydrophobic) character, extraction of single compounds or multiple analyte suites can be achieved.
TELOS C18 (Octadecyl)
This is a non-endcapped C18 sorbent, suitable for extracting analytes with wide-ranging non-polar character from aqueous samples. The primary retention mechanism is Non-polar (Reversed Phase), with secondary interactions present from the free surface silanol groups.
- Average Particle Size 50µm
- Pore Diameter 70Å
- Non-endcapped
- Carbon Loading 17,5%

TELOS C18(EC) (Octadecyl, Endcapped)
This is an endcapped C18 sorbent, suitable for extracting analytes with wide-ranging non-polar character from aqueous samples. The primary retention mechanism is Non-polar (Reversed Phase), with significantly reduced secondary interactions due to the endcapping of the surface silanol groups.
- Average Particle Size 50µm
- Pore Diameter 70Å
- Endcapped*
- Carbon Loading 18%

TELOS C18 AQ(EC) (Octadecyl, Endcapped)
This is an endcapped C18 sorbent, suitable for extracting analytes with wide-ranging non-polar character and is particularly optimised for extraction of large volume environmental aqueous samples. The primary retention mechanism is Non-polar (Reversed Phase), with significantly reduced secondary interactions due to the endcapping of the surface silanol groups.
- Average Particle Size 50µm
- Pore Diameter 60Å
- Endcapped*
- Carbon Loading 18%
- Ideal for environmental water samples

TELOS C8(EC) (Octyl, Endcapped)
With a shorter carbon chain length compared to C18, this sorbent is idea for extracting higher molecular weight analytes from aqueous samples. This sorbent is endcapped to reduce secondary interactions from surface silanols.
- Average Particle Size 50µm
- Pore Diameter 70Å
- Endcapped*
- Carbon Loading 9%
